Dr. Jaclyn Chasse Bio
As Emerson Ecologics’ Vice President of Medical Education & Wellevate, Jaclyn Chasse, ND ensures that Emerson continues to deliver the highest quality products, tools and education to our customers. She believes that integrative medicine provides the most sustainable form of healthcare and is proud to work at Emerson, where these practitioners and their diverse ways of practicing are embraced and supported. Prior to starting at Emerson in September 2010, Dr. Chasse was a solo practitioner that grew her practice to a multidisciplinary clinic with over 15 practitioners. Dr. Chasse has maintained a virtual clinical practice, Perfect Fertility, which allows her to stay current in understanding patient needs as well as the challenges that integrative healthcare providers face. As health education is a vital part of being a doctor, Dr. Chasse stays current with the latest research and treatments available, not only to use them herself in practice, but most importantly to share this knowledge with our practitioners.
Dr. Chasse earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of New Hampshire. It was her passion for nutritional biochemistry which led to her exploration of naturopathic medicine and continues to influence her clinical decisions. Her work in biochemistry and biophysics research prior to attending medical school provided valuable insight to quality assurance—a key component of Emerson’s commitment to our customers. Dr. Chasse then received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, and pursued advanced training in the areas of
women’s health and infertility, including advanced training in Syndey, Australia. Today, she is considered the preeminent expert in integrative & functional medical approaches to infertility in North America.
Involved throughout her professional career in improving healthcare access and education, Dr. Chasse frequently lectures around the country on various integrative medicine topics, has authored several lay and professional articles and has had research published in research and clinical journals. In addition to her work, Dr. Chasse volunteers for several organizations. She previously served as the President of the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors and she is currently on the Editorial Board for the Natural Medicine Journal. She has served on the Boards of the American Herbal Products Association, the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Institute of Natural Medicine, and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, where she served as President from 2016-2017.
In addition to her industry work, Dr. Chasse is a volunteer and founding board member for the Manchester Food CoOp. She also volunteers in her own local community. Dr. Chasse has 7 wonderful children, with whom she loves to spend time traveling, boating, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, cooking and gardening.
Dr. Chasse thinks that in addition to a fish oil and probiotic, adrenal supportive herbs are a “must have” for most patients—and practitioners!
